Neither FNM nor FRE offer discounts on reinvested divs, though, which is one nice point about CMO. The tax consequence of the yield is a concern for me, for sure, and I'm sure you're on target on exposure due to the CMOs. Aren't they getting a fair chunk of earnings from servicing for others, though? Perhaps that brings in enough to temper the risk. My wife would agree with you on FNM and FRE. Rick
