Dell to Offer Dragon NaturallySpeaking Through Multiple Dell Programs
NEWTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mar. 15, 1999--Dragon Systems(R), Inc., a leading developer of speech recognition solutions, today announced an agreement to offer the award-winning Dragon NaturallySpeaking Preferred speech recognition software through several Dell Computer Corporation (NASDAQ: DELL), business units and Dell's premier new web site, gigabuys.com, an easy-to-navigate online superstore.
Dell will provide Dragon NaturallySpeaking as a core product offering in the Home Sales Division, the Dell Business Systems Division, and the Dell Preferred Accounts Division. Upon customer request, Dell will preinstall Dragon NaturallySpeaking Preferred as a "ReadyWare" software option. Installing the software at the factory ensures that systems are pre-configured, tested, and ready for use. This helps enhance the efficiency and reliability of customer software installations and can help Dell save time and money by not having to address support issues associated with software installation.
Dell will promote the software through advertising in multiple catalogs, on its Web page, and with direct offers to Dell customers. Dragon Systems will provide training on Dragon NaturallySpeaking Preferred to the sales teams in each of the participating business segments.
