Yes it's okay to share picks but I, like many, believe that there are designated places to do so. Think of how many threads on SI are not dedicated to a specific stock and in fact encourage various picks to be shared there, not to mention the ever-important function of PMs. If you went to the EFAX thread and started spamming MDIN five times a day (especially when it's in a down trend), the people there would either ignore you or display their displeasure. The DGIV thread may be an exception to this unwritten rule of etiquette... I'm not sure.
