regine, thanks for the wonderful compliment. I think most people around here would definitely not be nominating me for diplomat of the year at the moment, but I appreciate your kind sentiments. I was feeling a little depressed and strident over the recent debacle over here. I like to discuss serious topics, but I don't want to offend everyone and hurt a lot of feelings.
Isn't Penni wonderful? We are a kind of mutual admiration society, loving each other's ideas and words. She provides much of the underlying warmth and nurturing texture of this thread, and I am really appreciative of that.
I hope you don't really feel intimidated by my background, or Penni's. She was a folksinger and songwriter, and I majored in English, so we are probably fairly good with words, but that's just a tiny thing to be good at. Everyone's strengths are different. When I read what people write I am looking for their ideas, not their spelling and punctuation. Please keep writing!! You're very funny sometimes, especially your posts about lingerie!!!
