The wording seems quite plain to me. If I currently use an online broker like E-Trade, they want to steer me to MBTrading or some other direct competitor. I'm sure MBT is delighted by this requirement.

As far as screening goes, I notice the minimum capital to open an account has been reduced from $25,000 to $15,000. I think most experienced traders would agree that $15K (or even $25K for that matter) is a dangerously thin level of capitalization for daytrading. At $15K, you'll be losing close to 2% of your capital each month just for the cost of the data feeds and network connections before you make a single trade.
