I've been enjoying my latest 50 free hours and I saw this posted in one of the Motley Fool folders:

Dear Fools,

Beginning Monday morning, AOL will be converting the Fool to the new style message boards. We have set up a practice are for you to familiarize yourself on. You can access the practice area by clicking the "Messages" button at the bottom of most Fool screens. Then, click the top button on the left entitled "Brand New Boards!" This will also be available from our main screen at times throughout the week.

Let us know what you think!

Thanks,

David

Here's what I think.

If this new format is the same as has been coverted elswwhere, I assure you that it destroy the flavour of dialog we've enjoyed. It is universally hated in the Writers Club. It is a computer geek's idea of effeciency. Some of the content areas have started campaigns to restore the old system. AOL management has been very unresponsive, refusing to even explain why they are doing this. Some people give up and never come come back. Messages seem to disappear if you don't press the right sequence of buttons. It's a mess. I hate it and offers NOTHING beyond what is here already.
