Folks: TGNT does not have the WCII debt, and has not yet announced that it will "expand" so much that it has no chance of making a profit for years. Plus, TGNT has Mandl, whose reputation, for better or worse, is stellar on the street, while WCII's Bill Rouhana is known as a "car salesman". Please note that many of us here have an attitude of being smarter than the "rest" of the market. Please note that there are plenty of bright people who are steering clear of wcii, and others selling daily, who just don't buy into the idea of a huge valuation for a company bleeding money. Plus, I bet plenty of folks are mad as hell that Rouhana said the company's goal was to be ebitda positive by ye 1999, and he just up and ignored that and said he would spend as much as he wants forever without regard to its effects upon profitability or shareholder value. Face it--lotsa folks think this is a POS. Prior runups are always based on deal rumors. No deal, no decent stock price seems to be the rule. Seems like many WCII buyers only wanted to roll the dice on a deal?? Have we ever seen that before. If most of you are like me, you have difficulty admitting you may have made a big mistake with WCII. For all the technical mumbo jumbo, they ain't making money, and don't seem really to care about making it--whenever sems to be the view. And, as we know, Rouhana also ain't gonna sell. So, this is either a true long term hold--as in, suffer for years watching your friends grow rich and you grow foolish--or, if you don't wanna sit around watching grass grow on your money, skedaddle, which is what lotsa owners have done recently. And, a lot of the analyst stuff is, frankly, blatant hype. Remember Vogel with his $97 "targets". Maybe Rouhana's a car salesman like they say, and he's sold us an edsel, that lotsa smart people aint buyin???? And, he "bought" Vogel, paying him with stockholder money when he was probably fired for his ridiculous wcii reports--97, and we can't hold 37!!! Remember, we are declining in the face of good news and favorable market conditions---what does that say?? Other than, shoulda traded with Steve B. |
