IBIA will present a set of clear principles that are intended to protect personal privacy when biometric technology is used in private and public sector applications. The constraints to be discussed during the press conference are an effort show that biometric technology can be used in everyday activities without compromising personal information or permitting unauthorized disclosure of personal information. IBIA members will be available to answer any questions about biometric technologies, related legislative initiatives, the goals of the association, and the issue of related technologies such as encryption to ensure the safeguarding of data.
