Interesting points Glenn...How do you feel about the Dell and Amzn agreement?

Mark,

I believe the ramifications were overblown. I base this on my viewing each site. It appears to me that the Dell site is more prominent on the Amazon site. I can't find the Amazon site on the Dell site. The wording of the press release was the link would show at checkout. I did not make a purchase so did not have a check out.

One of the items I thought would have better margins for Amazon was software. This is now not possible for Amazon except for the referrel fees. Most people use the manual first when they are new to a computer so the book link would not be uses at that juncture.

A computer purchase is large ticket so I doubt once one chooses a box, monitor, etc at Dell they will then go shopping for drugstore items or clothing. Vice versa, when one chooses the items that Amazon is offering they will not go and buy a comoputer.

Candidly, I am confused. I was focused on the Amazon model of selling books, music and video and was and am still convinced that fulfillment costs would exceed gross margins. Amazon has made many changes since then. I am not sure where they are focused and therefore, I cannot try to reconcile the revenues with expenses. This is not a problem if Amazon has not lost focus. I do not know their business plan to ultimatly turn a profit.

Non of the above prevents me from being long at any point in time.

Glenn
