This Texas based Internet service provider has transformed itself into a national provider through relationships with PSI Net and Level 3. The company has 180,000 subcribers including 3,000 small and mid-sized business customers, and has strong growth potential with more 600 points of presence throughout the country covering 70% of the population. In addition, FlashNet has implemented a unique multi-level marketing program where subscribers can pay to become marketing representatives. These independent reps then receieve commissions based on additional subscribers they sign up. While the ISP business is extremely competitive, the company is cheap on a subscriber basis and is a possible takeover candidate.
