An interesting clip from the article: Regardless of STB's recent love-in with 3Dfx, there are still a plethora of video card manufacturers--including Diamond Multimedia, Guillemot, and Hercules--signed up for the TNT2, with one notable exception: Creative Labs. Creative was supposed to have made an "unexpected, video-related" announcement today, but then backed out the last minute.
This guy sounds pretty slick, though I still wouldn't trust nVidia given the TNT1 fiasco. At least for me, they still have a long way to go to gain credibility in the advertising department. I found the accompanying pictures hilarious, especially the one where the VP is holding a stick of dynamite in his mouth (maybe TNT2 will blow up in their faces?).
Another interesting note, Elsa just announced their TNT2 product priced at $299 with 32mb of SDRAM. $50 above V3-3500. hmmmm... |
