DCF, I do think you are being just a teeny bit unfair here. No one can even prove that Jesus actually existed (although I think he probably did). So certainly it would be even more difficult to assert that he did not have sex. What is wrong with having sex, anyway? Aren't men and women designed to fit together in that way? If God created us, then why did he make for such a nice pleasurable tight fit like that, if sex was not a blessed event? So what would be wrong with Jesus having it? Now you may recall that Jesus never said anything about homosexuality, either, and that he supported loving, monogamous relationships. So why would it be so bad if Jesus loved Mary Magdalene, and they had sex?

Speaking of the same old garbage, since you wandered over here, I will post the same factual newspaper article to you that I posted to Chris:

Rev. Guilty in Lover's Manslaughter

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (AP) - A minister who claimed that his church's secretary
was accidentally shot while they used a
gun during foreplay was convicted Thursday of involuntary manslaughter.

The jury found the Rev. Harvey Crews innocent of second-degree murder, which could
have sent him to prison for 40 years.
The jury recommended he get the maximum - 10 years - for the manslaughter charge.

Crews, a 38-year-old married man, testified that he and Kathleen Eich, 43, his mistress
of 21/2 years, had been drinking
heavily and were preparing to have sex in his office at the Word of Faith Tabernacle last
July.

Crews said the two were talking about trust, the subject of a conference he had just
attended, when he pulled a pistol out of his
desk drawer. Ms. Eich, standing behind him, took the hand that was holding the gun and
put it between her legs, Crews
testified.

Crews said that when he turned to pull back the gun, it went off.

Prosecutors suggested that Crews and Ms. Eich had been arguing.

Crews' estranged wife, Debbie, testified that she and Ms. Eich had been best friends
and that she hadn't known about the
affair.

Now, can you tell me what is so absolutely great about Christianity if some of its ministers carry on like this guy did? Do you think he was just really using a loaded gun to do a bit of foreplay on his lover to prove trust in the (illicit) relationship, or did he kill her deliberately and make that up as an alibi? I am certainly not arguing that all Christians are like this minister, but I am definitely asserting that whether you are a kind and loving person who does mostly good deeds in life has almost nothing to do with whether you are Christian or some other religion, or an atheist or pagan or whatever. I mean, this guy was definitely lost, and he was preaching the Lord's word! I sure hope he didn't pray for me!
