Sorry guys...

I promised that I wouldn't say anything about me buying or selling my 3dfx stock. This was a specific verbal agreement that I made with 3dfx. It kinda makes sense though. Most of you know what I was expecting so it might give you a hint as to what is forthcoming. That said we did specify that I was able to discuss items that have already been announced. So...

I'm glad for the little blurb on the TV adds. I can talk about them now. 20 million seems to be a pretty high tag, and I was a fervent naysayer against 3dfx extravagantly spending that much. Heck, it's almost $1 per share for the combined 3dfx/stb entity which would otherwise feed the bottom line (read as earnings). I still think it's a lot of money, but now I'm not so sure whether it will be a losing proposition. I saw 3 separate commercials and they make the "Got Milk?" campaign look like a warm-up. I laughed so hard I almost cried.

Gotta go rev up the Voodoo3 I just got. I'll post feedback on it after I poke around with it a bit. I plan on a going through a glide tutorial and see if I can do a little 3d programming of my own. (Half the reason I attended the conference was so I could get a feel of whether I wanted to enter the entertainment industry or not.)
