A rule...which usually melts away quickly as one steps out of the micro-cap arena is never adopt a position beyond a certain % of the Average Volume (AV)<I/>. Right now my limit is about 5%.

Ex: I added 15K CAVR (btw 1/4-5/16) 3 weeks ago as it began a run. As the volume bubble collapsed, it was impossible to sell the shares w/o dropping the spread and ruining it's valuation and profits. Aside from being greedy, it was out of balance with the stock's capability. I'm holding at a profit waiting for the TA to catch up, but this lesson was drilled home once again...:o)
