ahoj!! Just read an article in The International Herald Tribune....I think it might have first appeared in the New York Times....it is quite lenghty and I don't have my scanner here so I will recap it... ____________________________________________________________________ WEAK SALES DELAY IPO BY DRAGON ...has postponed...until at least next month after unexpected anemic 1998 4th qtr sales ..their software is a niche leader even against IBM and LHSPF.. ..full year numbers showed sales had only inched up slightly in 4th qtr to $ 21.8 mil from $20.7 in 3rd....in contrast 4th qtr 97 was more than twice 3rd qtr of same year net income dropped to 1.6 mil from 7.6 mil in 3rd qtr revenue for yr was 71.4 mil...97 was 26.8...after several yrs of red ink..profit of 10.3 mil reversing 97 loss of 5.3mil Dragon refused comment due to SEC IPO restrictions __________________________________________________________________ Gosh I am a slow typist! This sounds like a winner to me...My brother lives in Newton too so maybe I can get more info ( although I live in the Czech Republic ) I will try to get in at the pricing as I imagine once it trades it will be big $$ and I am somewhat wary of buying then as I am taking a big hit right now with MMPT ( opened at 50 now at 34...but am keeping the faith!)
