building a company or building a payroll? Signal Technology Appoints Dr. James DiLorenzo as New President
DANVERS, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 16, 1999--Signal Technology Corp. (AMEX:STZ) Tuesday announced that Dr. James V. DiLorenzo, 58, has been appointed the company's new president, effective Monday.
George Lombard, Signal Technology's president since June 30, 1998, will remain chairman of the board and chief executive officer.
DiLorenzo comes to Signal Technology with more than 25 years of senior management experience in the electronics industry. Most recently, he served since January 1996 as general manager of Raytheon Microelectronics, a division of Raytheon Electronics, the commercial electronics group of Lexington, Mass.-based Raytheon Co.
In his role as general manager, DiLorenzo led the division's efforts to convert state-of-the-art defense technology to commercial applications, as well as oversaw business development. Under his direction, the division achieved considerable growth in sales and profitability.
DiLorenzo joined Raytheon in 1989 from Microwave Semiconductor Corp., where he was vice president, research and development. Prior to that, he spent 17 years at AT&T's Bell Laboratories, concluding his tenure there as department head of special materials and devices.
