Counting the dealers' inventories, I would expect the total to be much higher. Don't the dealers have a good quarter's worth in their yards right now? I also thought this was one of DE's pushes, to make sure the dealers didn't get overly bloated. And this is where Ag might have a problem. Bloated inventories to marginal dealers leads to credit losses. Thin inventories to strong dealers the reverse. That's why the preference for De and CAT, for instance.
