It's a chicken and egg story.

With increased usage (demand) comes increased supply as the DRAM makers look to make a killing selling these chips. Then the price comes tumbling down reaching parity in about a year or so and keeps falling thereafter.

I'd expect first usage to be in the high powered workstations and servers for applications where large memory size offers huge advantages.

Advantages would include less power, less heat, more memory, and faster overall processing.

Initial chips are for design wins, within 2 years these will be the mainstream.
