Panther Announces Pending Financing

VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 16, 1999--The Company has received a Letter of Agreement to finance the La Verde Mine expansion in Mexico.
The agents for funding stated, "After making an extensive review of your company and its La Verde project, we have found that the project is qualified and eligible." This is an exciting development for Panther Resources PTHR .
Specifically, the agent for the funding group stated, "We cannot provide a guarantee that the funding will be completed because the Funder must complete his own due diligence to his satisfaction. However, in terms of probabilities, we can, at this juncture, see no reason why the project cannot be funded, given the information you have provided to date."
As the agents themselves are qualified mining engineers, Panther believes that any further due diligence on the part of the Funding group would result in the same positive conclusion.
This funding will be used to complete on the acquisition of Minera Humaya and to develop the property into a world class mining operation.
