I am not an automotive technical guy

Your reference stated the following
<Very Unlikely (IMHO):
OEM manufacturers (cost / complexity issues)>

Maybe you should PM this fellow and ask him why ALD seems to have abandoned it's competing technology, a hydraulically assisted turbocharger in favor of TRBD's electronic-assist technology.

Check this article: ai-online.com

In point of fact, Dr. Anatoly D. Mezheritsky has a paper describing the use of continuous water injection (CWI) as an emissions upgrade kit for a heavy duty Caterpillar engine.

The company has developed, with International Rectifier, an electronic module with potential applications extending way beyond the turbocharger.

Your guy could be right. The company might not ever reach full commercial realization. But it has smart technical folk, with very big reps. in the turbo world, working to make internal combustion engines' pollution less poisonous to the environment.

I support their work and i'm hoping to make money from their work.
You obviously don't share my enthusiasm. That's what makes the markets work. You sell, I'll buy.
