PAL, some good news and some bad news about Dell:

First the bad news: I spent 20 minutes on hold trying to get to speak to a living human sales representative so I could order a non-standard PIII machine as a graduation present for my daughter. Very frustrating waiting on hold.

Now the good news: the representative told me that sales had been a bit soft prior to the introduction of the PIII machines. Now that the PIII is available he says that his phone system is lit up like a Christmas tree all the time. Dell has hired temps to keep up with the demand.
