Re: Goldman Sachs

I was looking into opening an account with Goldman Sachs.
They gave me one of their many VP's to handle the account.
Their rates per transaction were 4-5X what I am accustomed to paying. But he told me that I could make up for it on better executions (an unverifiable assertion). He also told me that that is my rate was the same rate that their biggest customers paid. (a big lie) He said that I would not regret it if I opened and account. They also have no internet access to speak of.

Upon reflection, I decided to not open an account with this firm
despite its enviable reputation on WS. This VP probably graduated from an IVY league school and reminded me of used call salesmen.
But he inspired no confidence and was strictly unprofessional.

This firm is too fat and out of touch with the times.
