You are DEAD wrong!

Folks prefer the K6-2 brand to the Celeron brand.
They also prefer the K6-2 to the cheaper Cyrix parts as well as the IDT and Rise chips.

Even after Intel slashed Celery 300/333/366 prices in January AMD has gained market share. They would have gained much more if they had not screwed up the manufacturing.

And KIII's are selling very well and maintaining prices - unfortunately our AMD friends can't manufacture enough of them.
In fact KIII's are at a premium over a 400Mhz PII.
