SWEDEN - NOKIA ON MOBILE PHONE FLAWS ------------------------------------
Information Chief Tapio Hedman of Finnish Nokia has stated in the Swedish newspaper Finanstidningen that
Nokia will study the
problems in their new mobile phones. According to some estimates, approx. 16% of Nokia's phones have
flaws. According to Swedish newspaper Expressen, Nokia has had problems
in the most sold models of 5110, 6110 and 6150 as well as in the top model 8810. According to Hedman,
the display problems have been due to a component which has been identified and changed before the end of
1998. However, some retailers may still sell flawed phones.
