Folks are selling pIII-450 systems for $999-1299 now so the system prices are in the dirt.

The celeron at 433 seems like a great machine frankly and you can pick them up for $700 range. And couple it with a good graphics card and you have a helluva machine for sub 1K for playing games. The k-3 make great overall PC's but for gaming I suspect the Celerons are better value.
