An add-on product to use windows software (word, excel etc) with indian fonts/languages has been available for a long time in India. A government body has developed this technology and has been successful in commercializing it. This technoloy works for both charcter mode systems as well as GUI systems. Given the popularity of Wintel, I am sure this technology will win - so, Apple has no chance of making its WorldScript bring in any bucks.

Keep in mind that Windows NT is unicode based and thereby, theoretically, can handle any language in the world if the software is designed with Unicode in mind.
