If $1000 of TUNEP equals 21.24 shares of T, then it would not matter when you bought TUNEP. $1000 is a $1000. The only thing that matters is the cost of T shares. This is not to say that TUNEP shares will not go up if your assumption is true, but if you are going to wait for your shares of T, why not buy on April 7 and use your money elsewhere in the meantime?
