You have to absolutely love the fact that Apple has revised the pricing of OS X Server from $999 to $499.

Which means its only overpriced by about $400 dollars... I think OS X is good enough that it has a chance of catching up, if it is made competitive with Linux. At $499 it doesn't have a chance....

On different news, the price of iMacs at MacMall has dropped yet again, to $888. The old rev B iMac is back to number one in best selling position, while 2-5 are peripherals (no iCandy or G3s). MacMall seems to be selling around 100 old iMacs a day. Still they have plenty of them (9767 to be precise).

New iMacs continue to be in short supply.
