JDN, ever read the "header" of this thread? It was posted on 10/9/96 and asks "how high can this stock go?" which is our title. Well, I just did some checking, and when Mr. Smith asked that question, the price was $12.18 (split adjusted). So, I guess anyone can "afford to be without this stock", but if the future is anything like the past, you and I clearly don't want to be one of them. IMP
