Chuzz, what a marvelous analogy--but did you really mean "drag"?

I have more thoughts on this subject but have been so sucked up by conferences that I have not been able to put my thoughts in a concise and orderly expression.

The fight does matter, though, in that the obviation of pooling accounting may have a near-term negative impact on acquisitions in the software and networking arenas. Fine and dandy, you may say, but it might stop acquisitions that are wise strategically because companies are afraid that analysts may penalize them for dilution in the near term. (And we know that all too many behave as though they have never seen a balance sheet!)

Your thoughts?
