Remember that flap with the Windows 98 ID being transmitted to Microsoft headquarters without anyone's knowledge, even when the user specifically requests that no hardware-specific info be sent? Remember how every Office 97 document has an identifier related to the machine where it was created? Apparently Intel is envious of all the bad PR that Microsoft gets. Now they can share the blame. Great!
