Maxnet Integrates Thunderstone Software Into its Auction Portal, WebPhoneBook and the Utah WebWorks Toolbed
FREEHOLD, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 16, 1999--Maxnet, Inc. (OTC BB:MXNT - news), announced today that the integration of Thunderstone's Texis Server NT RDBMS software into its Auction Portal maxplanet.com, WebPhoneBook.com maxplanet.com, and the Utah WebWorks Toolbed began today.
''With integration commencing across 5 portals, numerous affiliate sales sites and transactional points, MXNT wants to provide expert engineers and the best backbone for its Portal community,'' states Michael Marsowicz, CTO for MXNT. ''Thunderstone's Texis Server package is the perfect fit for Maxplanet's sites. The ability to manage very complex databases, and also utilize our rich media content is what attracted us to Thunderstone, added M. Marsowicz.
''Our goal to create an interactive living Portal, Auction, Music and Internet Radio Station as well as an Information Business to Business/User to User WebPhoneBook is coming together under this complex integration,'' stated I. Goldreich, VP and COO for MXNT.
According to Michael Marsowicz, CTO for MXNT, ''These are serious Mission Critical Search and Applications; we are using the Finest Back End approach with Thunderstone. Sun's products have integrated the best to date; nevertheless, we needed even more scalability with the Auction Portal and Multi-Media feeds. Our need for speed as well as Scalability has us looking at our SQL approach and Object Brokering Transaction models. We recognize many shortcomings in every large enterprise site, so we are also integrating Virtual Private Networks for interior security as well as integration with outside vendors. We are assembling a board now for the Warehousing of our Data Marts, which will be able to leverage the User Preference Models and Sales Psycho-Geography for one to one marketing. We believe that our targeting capabilities will be a richer Data Mart for Delivery. After all that's what complex integration is about. Successful Delivery and Transactions.''
