The direction of a stock in the short-term often has nothing to do with fundamentals, it is often related to technical factors that get corrected once reality intervenes. In this case, the recent increase in the share price was setoff by two fundamental factors who's importance is exaggerated.

The first of these factors was the announcement by Siemens that their relationship with Newbridge was still on, the second was the Global One contract announcement. The Siemens factor, is in my view, overblown, and doesn't take away from the fact that Newbridge is a bridesmaid that nobody seems interested in. As far as Global One, it is more hyperbole than anything else, it doesn't take away from the fact that NN did not meet its earnings target last quarter and officials have been "talking down" expectations for the rest of the year.

Pertaining to these two fundamental factors, some people on this thread had argued ad nauseum that they were intact and delivered when the share price was tanking, yet these same people went into denial mode when they were announced and pretended to have been hit by an incredible revelation. Suddenly the stock sprung back to life and the ride has been technical ever since. I lost respect for people who acted in this manner -- hypocrisy is not something I consider a particularly good human trait.

Will it continue? Who knows. It can be argued one way or the other which direction the stock will take next, but one thing is certain, in due time fundamental reality will correct any misunderstanding the market may or may not have at present time. I happen to believe that the company's future is not bright when you consider the larger picture and take into account the high valuation of Newbridge's stock vis-a-vis its past record and propensity to disappoint, and as such there is danger that lies ahead.

See you later and good luck.
