CALL QUALITY MESSAGE: I have been told that a comment I made on March 14th about the quality of my Iridium calls being somewhat degraded from a month ago has elicited some fairly wild and irresponsible speculation on the YAHOO Iridium message board. So, if I may, let me make a brief statement that should clarify what I said:

The Iridium phone that I possess has been used to make about 50 calls since December (now you know I'm not a globe-circling tycoon). Until recently, it was rare that I dropped a call. In the past couple of weeks, I've had about 3 drops in 6 calls. Perhaps my location had something to do with it, I don't know. This is NOT a sufficient statistical sample to form an opinion from, and if you read my post you will notice I did not - I invited comment.

So to all of those on the YAHOO board who made a big deal out of this: I'm glad you don't post here.
