Technology...and perhaps the start of a long relationship...Dell can use the service..and IBM can no longer compete in the PC business..a host of other advantages to DELL... 1% royalty on technology...the ability to some day sell the huge storage units of IBM in a deal...virtually covering almost every aspect of technology any size corporation would need...
