Analysts say JetForm in its current weakened state is vulnerable to a takeover bid. Some have speculated the acquirer could be Hummingbird Communications Ltd., which recently announced its plans to buy PC DOCS Group International Inc. Fred Sorkin, Hummingbird's CEO, said the new company plans more acquisitions to strengthen its product line. One product he wants to buy is workflow software, which is JetForm's specialty. A takeover of JetForm by Hummingbird would be logistically easy, at least. When Hummingbird bought PC DOCS, it also picked up the assets of Fulcrum Technologies Inc., which is wholly owned by PC DOCS. Fulcrum and JetForm share a building in Ottawa. ...
