Fujitsu Network Services to Provide Nationwide Support for Cisco's Network Implementation Program

RICHARDSON, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 16, 1999--Fujitsu Network Services, in its continuing effort to assist public network service providers in reducing time-to-market for new services, will immediately begin providing nationwide support for the Cisco Systems, Inc., Network Implementation Program throughout the telecommunications marketplace.

Fujitsu Network Communications, Inc., through its division, Fujitsu Network Services, today announced an agreement with Cisco to provide implementation support services for a variety of current and emerging technologies, including high-speed Internet services and high-end network solutions. The services are tailored to meet the needs of local exchange carriers, long-distance carriers, competitive access providers, and Internet service providers. The Network Implementation Program is the first phase of Cisco's recently announced Total Implementation Solutions offering, which enables service providers to deploy new services quickly and at a lower cost.

As a solutions leader in the telecommunications industry, Fujitsu Network Services delivers a wide range of capabilities, including project management, engineering, installation, technical support and network remediation services to ensure rock solid performance of the public network infrastructure.

Under the terms of the agreement, Fujitsu Network Services will work closely with Cisco Systems program managers in performing site surveys, pre-assembly staging and testing, and on-site deployment of engineer, furnish, and install (EF&I) services, ensuring timely product deployment and best-in-class quality.
