DBS Indus, Alcatel Extend Satellite Pact Talks To March 31 MILL VALLEY, Calif. (Dow Jones)--DBS Industries Inc. (DBSS) and Alcatel S.A.'s (ALA) Alcatel Space Industries unit extended the deadline on negotiations on an end-to-end space craft contract to March 31 from Monday. As reported Dec. 28, DBS and Alcatel signed a memorandum of understanding to negotiate a definitive end-to-end space craft contract for the construction, launch and operation of six low earth orbiting satellites for the E-SAT network. DBS, which develops satellite-based services, said in a press release Monday that it expects to complete negotiations by March 31.
