No Injunction Against Dorado
BROOMFIELD, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 15, 1999--Sytron, Inc. and Dorado Systems Corporation announced today that Dorado continues to market its innovative Universal Reader(TM) since HID Corporation has not obtained an injunction in its patent infringement suit against the two companies.
Sytron has announced that it will indemnify its customers and end users against any claims of patent infringement which may be made. \223We consider this promise a basic protection for our customers and simply part of the lifetime warranty with which we stand behind the Universal Reader(TM),\224 Howard explained. \223The market has recognized the strength of our technology and customer service and embraced the Universal Reader(TM) enthusiastically. No comparable product is available and these access control customers deserve access to this unique technology. While we prefer to compete with HID in the marketplace, we are confident we will prevail in the courts as well.
Dorado's newest access control product, the Universal Reader(TM), can read the proximity cards of other suppliers, as well as those of Dorado, and can also read magnetic stripe cards. This unique reader is the only product in the access control market with this multi-platform ability. The Universal Reader(TM) provides customers with more options for system upgrade, expansion and replacement, opening the market to greater competition.
