Lucent's (Nasdaq:LU - news) Board of Directors announced today a 2-1 stock split to be issued on April 1, 1999, to shareholders of record as of March 5, 1999. Broadcom's (Nasdaq:BRCM - news) previously announced stock split will be effective tomorrow. Broadcom closed today at $116 1/2.
