Clark, I know better than to tangle with you, having lost a few previous concatenations, but help me out here. I thought folks ripped off celluloid like hell won't have it, to the tune of some zillions of serious dollars/year. Spot-beaming "Lolita" wrapped in the encapsulated arms of CDMA was supposed to keep the world, and spying pirate voyeurs, safe for democracy, enormously enriching the Q's treasury [or 'honey pot' as Mqrice would have it] in the process. What am I missing?
P.S. if you're really the macho techno-dude that I think you are, check out "The Last Mile . . ." thread on SI. We're talking some serious telecom geeks--bring all the 3'en One Oil your slide rule can stand cause you're gonna need it! I hit those guys with my very best stuff [you know, all my post-doctoral wave theory work; didn't figure they'd clue in that my wave theory consisted of salt water, but. . .] Only my resident status as head techno wizard of the Q thread saved what little credibility remained--don't blow my cover if aliens visit home base. :-) SM
