I think Fixer #reply-8348325 and Gord #reply-8358057 have nailed this Aber thing pretty well. As of January Aber had a third of a JV, not an option on a third of a JV - they're either in or they're out - if they paid they're in and if they didn't they're out, they lose share to wsp who put up the nickels and took the risks. Winspear is the operator and calls the shots, Aber antes up or they don't, and it looks like they haven't. No tickee, no laundry.

But your second point - that they could maybe tie up the Camsell Block in court with legal shenanigans - could just be one of the reasons for splitting off Newco. There are other obvious and more positive reasons, but we shouldn't overlook that one, for sure ....... cheers
