Can you reread your second sentence and see if it makes sense to you??
It doesn't make any to me !! I'm not a lawyer either and I sure wouldn't presume to prejudge this dispute as some seem prepared to do, BUT I do know what an agreement is and if you don't I suggest you look it up. How can you know that something ELSe is true "despite what it says in the ageement"??????? What use is it to make an agreement in that case.

The JV Agreement was made long ago when both companies were younger and less worldly but I'm sure the terms are clearly spelled out. Our problem is that we don't have access to it or the knowledge to fully understand all it's ramifications. I'm happy so far to let the court decide, though it seems a shame to waste money that way.

However it is fairly clear that we will achieve a proper resolution quicker and with less blood spilled that by letting the shareholders fight it out. In my experience the majority is nearly always wrong anyway, so let's hope for an honest appraisal and a speedy and fair resolution.
