Where did you hear or why did you say that they fired their CFO?
As far as I know, they never had a CFO.

You and many others here are under the wrong impression that once a company goes public, 12 new employees come walking through the door.
That's wrong.

A perfect example is WCAP. 3 employees.
Check out their market cap.
Another is PERS. 1 guy, Michaels, wears all the hats.
Being public does not mandate a roster, just that more paperwork is needed. If I recall, MRPS only went public very recently as a result of a reverse merger into a shell.

Just because a company is public, it still has many of the same problems and decision as any other small business. And they're certainly not going to hire a valet parker and a personal pilot for the new corporate jet at start-up.

I never hired individuals for each task within my business either. Always did what I legally and practically could do myself. And there always was the quandary of balancing the workload with the workers.
