Hello all (that's if anyone remembers me),

Curious hasn't anyone visited the new 3dfx site and viewed the commercial?? Went back a few days and haven't seen any comments in the headers.

Does anyone else think the Flash presentation at the site is a better commercial than the actual commercial; and what's with the little girl?

Well, TDFX has been in my periphery for sometime now. Time to take a closer look, I'll be reviewing 3dfx and this thread for the next couple days or so and will post if I deem my thoughts worthy.

Oh, re the Iomega comparison, I saw some "Fool" made a similar note.

Before this becomes a negative drag on TDFX, please NOTE Iomega's advertising campaign was a HIGHLY successful one. Demand was stimulated to such a degree that the campaign had to be pulled, as a result of Iomega's under-calculated forecasts and its consequent lack of preparedness in meeting that demand. If I recall correctly, they didn't even own or control a single factory and all production was outsourced.

If anyone was there, remember the waiting list for drives?

Now, the only speculative question to be derived from the above is whether a similar fate might befall the 3dfx/STB combo??

Anyway, good luck to all in Round 2.
