The U.S. Food and Drug Administration clearance sent Cyporess shares up as much as 27 percent in trading before the opening of U.S. markets. The action frees the company to try and carve a niche in the growing rheumatoid arthritis market, which analysts say could top $2 billion. And for rheumatoid patients -- 40 percent of whom are debilitated so quickly they cannot work within 6 years -- the device could offer a crucial new option.
