That car, if it is real, is super, super rare, and worth considerably more than 9 grand. My books don't even show it, but I know there was a 396 option on the car in '66. The '68, which is also a rare car with a 396, is worth roughly ten grand (or more, depending). I'd be ultra-leery about it being a matching numbers car, I'd have an expert check it out, and I mean somebody that knows the car cold, not some car salesman, but if it's real, it's a really good deal. It's hard to believe that a car lot could have a 4 speed 396 Nova and not know what they had, but if the car is documented, and the tranny and motor are original, it's a once-in-a-decade deal.
