Chris, EFAX is running up on the news that they got a new block of telephone numbers, every user will have his very own telephone number. I am having some trouble with the business model here. The service is free, but my guess is that EFAX must pay a monthly charge for each phone number. The only income is advertising. They claim that the service will be extended to 6.5 million Hotmail users. If you assume an average phone charge of $10 per month each, that is $780 million annual phone bill. Even YHOO total advertising revenues are less than half the phone bill, how they gonna make money?
