If you're going to twist my words, there is no reason to continue this exchange.

By making this statement you seem to imply that Bruce has the "inside scoop" when you offer no evidence to substantiate that. That is all I was saying.
Up until the past several months, I would see Bruce on a monthly basis at the WashDCY2K meetings. Does he remember me by name? Probably not. Would he remember my face? Probably so. (and he impresses with his ability to recall a face) Now the question is: Do you know BW at all in a way that you infer he does or doesn't "know something".
Bruce has been the leader and voice of calm in the Y2K workgroups. He has struck me as very pragmatic and a person who doesn't want people to panic, but to take the necessary preparations. He certainly doesn't believe in TEOTWAWKI scenario, and the last time I heard him speak I think he was factoring in a 3-month series of disruptions varying in magnitude, as the most logical scenario.
Does he "know something"? I would suggest that he knows what other people he deems reliable know. But I don't suggest, AND NEITHER WOULD HE I BET, that his words be taken as gospel and absolute fact or as him not speaking his full mind on the issue.
As for TAVA Tech... they never specify a client's problems or status. However, I think their information has been important for gaining a general feel for the overall embedded systems issue.
Let's drop this topic since you twist my words, and apparently Bruce's as well, in order to substantiate your agenda.
