Hmmm...

At the end of December, CPQ had 32 days of internal inventory on the books. That is about 4 weeks in round numbers. Their distributors had 38 days of inventory which is about 5.5 weeks. The total pipeline was about 10 weeks. This internal inventory did not include the inventory for the new PIII and mobile Pentium and Celeron products.

Now CPQ goes into a very soft two months January and February with 2.5 months of product pipeline. Meanwhile, CPU, Ingram, etc are warning. CPQ stock down 40%. Cash flow deteriorating. factories ramping up to build PIII products. Deals being worked out to get rid of excess inventory in China-Deskpro EP exchanges. Maybe China can absorb all the excess inventory?

Hey! I guess everything is OK.
